Plant sale! The babies are ready to leave the nest!

Having a plant sale tomorrow, Saturday, May 14th. I'll be open from 10:00 - 3:00, so come by anytime between those hours. Also, I'll put your name on plants if you can't make it at that time.

Text, email or facebook me if you need to know our address.

Plant sale list:

These are listed by size and type. Some are bitty babies still, and I’m willing to nurture them for a couple more weeks, or you can take them home and find them a warm and sunny windowsill or cloche.

Large:

Ananas Noir Tomato: ‘Black Pineapple’ slicing tomato. These plants are huge, luscious, and ready for the ground! Now if only the weather would cooperate.

Limited supply!!! $5

Jimmy Nardello: Sweet, frying peppers. Delicious Italian frying pepper. Ready for a half gallon pot, where they could live and fruit all summer long. $3

Aci Sivri pepper: Hungarian hot pepper. New to me, but have read really positive things about these little guys. Good producer and great looking plants! $3

Paprika pepper: Grow, dry, and grind your own paprika! $3

I’ll have more pepper plants available at the end of June, including habeneros.

Medium:

Basil, Sweet: These plants look great and are ready to get in the ground! With a little bit of cover, you’ll have basil to pick by the end of the month. $2.50

Basil, Genovese: Very fragrant, although the plants don’t look as good as the sweet basil. Selling these for a deal $1.50

Dark Purple Opal Basil: Lovely! So pretty I’m using these for wedding flowers. Need to get transplanted and have their tops pinched off so they can start getting bushy! $2.50

Finissimo Verde A Palla Basil: Tiny little girls right now, but are growing rapidly! Buy them now at $5 for three, or wait a month until they are big and bushy and buy them for $3 each.

Red Russian Kale: Hardened off and ready for the ground! $3

Siberian Kale: Big and bushy; ready to plant! $3

Nero di Toscana: Smaller than the other kales, but will catch up in no time. Needs hardening off. $3

see posts below for more information on the basil and kale.

Silver Fir Tree tomato: Beautiful and delicate, these will look especially nice in a pot or ornamental garden. Also good producers! $3

Siberian Tomato: Early producer and cold hardy (for a tomato, that is). Ready for transplant after hardening off. $3

Purple Tomatillo: Little still, but already lovely purple veined plants. Sweet tart flavor. Take them now for $2, or take them when they’re bigger for $3

If you take home any of the smaller plants, I’ll send you home with fish fertilizer to help grow them big!

I have a few more varieties that I’ll have out at the sale and I’ll have later in the season so stay tuned for more!
